Gruden Magic! Amari Cooper Has Been Traded
To be honest, I think Gruden fleeced Dallas here. Cooper is a great wide receiver, but had a bad year last season, catching only 48/96 targets for 680 yards and 7 touchdowns. I’m sort of blown away they managed to get that kind of value for him, but it’s necessary for a team that has obviously realized that they are in no position to win this year. The problem is that they made a lot of win-now moves contract wise which are counter intuitive to trading Cooper and Mack, both big time tank moves. The good news is that they now have 3 first round picks (8 total picks) in the upcoming draft which can be used to address some of their 5000 gaping holes on both side of the ball.
